Why we read novels
This is such a long story, why I read novels.
I know we all have different reason for reading, but for me, that is just one reason...

Forget real life... Escapism...

My family is very strict, plus My parents both went to abroad for work, so My childhood was in loneliness, not very poor, but my family are very Scrooge. only I could have for toy was books.
from Andersen to dictionary, encyclopaedia I read all of the book I could had. this was start at 3years old till high school.
Now I know that I have dyslexia but I was reading normal book even before goto primary school.
The stories I read was my paradise, I was in the story, another world ,I always made me as a character in the story, and try to enjoyed. even sad story, I was believe if I can have enough power, I could made it to a different ending.
Just like, Disney simply changing "the little mermaid" in stupid way. There is no beauty of the sacrifice the Little mermaid did anymore. In my faith I believe if you don't know what is hell then you will not know what is the heaven, if you don't know what is sadness you will not know how happy is so sweat, if you have never been in lonely you will not know what is the truth of the love.

As a writer?
In Japan it was popular to remake or write extended story for stories that already exists, some of the fanfic call Dream story as a category allowed us to use our own name to being in the story.
slowly it emerged to RPG (Role playing game) which is we can choose what we do in the world. of course end on type is not able to change at sometime as we are playing, so there is limitations and prepared events happen in.
Then after internet growing and PC spec growing, there is called MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) it allowed many people in same world of the game made.
